When HomeServices Lending, a Wells Fargo affiliate and our mortgage partner, announced it was participating in a national contest last fall, many of our sales associates took notice. One, however, took the keys in the contest’s grand prize!
Ballantyne Area sales associate Doris Tan was the proud winner of a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid, recently presented to her by HomeServices Lending Mortgage Consultant Chris Reshetar. The contest, called “Pick of the Pro,” gave weekly prizes including a trip to the Pro Bowl in Miami. The Super Grand Prize, however, was the Ford Escape Hybrid, a popular pick for a sales associate who’s always on the go!

In conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank, new mom and Winston-Salem/Oakwood sales associate Julie Oates organized a diaper drive in her office to benefit low-income families in our community. More than 6,700 diapers were donated, all of which will benefit needy families in our area. An adequate monthly supply of diapers can cost as much as $100 (up to 20% of a minimum wage salary!), and they’re not covered by food stamps or WIC.
To find out what you can do to help needy families in your area, visit www.feedingamerica.org to find the nearest food bank.
